In preparation for the yuletide season, Europe’s most decorated Christmas house has been switched on in the German state of Lower Saxony.

The impressively decorated house with 500, 000 lights is now open to tourists. Visitors are flocking to the north-western state to see the beautifully decorated house.

The owner of the house has decorated it with lights every year for the past 16 years. He began his Christmas tradition in 2000 with just 2 bags worth of lights. Now, he starts installing lights in July, creating a new design each year and his collection of lights grows every year.
