An aspirant in the postponed local government elections in Benue State, Jonathan Ahangba Zege, has said that he will sue Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, for fraud.

Zege alleged that the governor had conspired with his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and state electoral body to defraud him of N5.5m.

According to ceoafrica, Zege said, in Jos, yesterday, that his decision followed the expiration of a 30-day statutory notice given to the governor and two other defendants to pay him his money.

He claimed he used in purchasing nomination forms for the postponed local government elections and campaign in Vandeikya Local Government Area, where he bided to become the chairman.

The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission had issued guidelines and time table for the elections, which were billed for September but postponed on grounds of lack of fund to conduct the exercise.
