In an effort to appreciate the contribution of Nigerian leaders to the development of the country, the Southwest chapter of the National Progressive Youth Forum of Nigeria (NPYF) is set to confer distinction on eminent personalities and some notable Nigerians at its 2016 Award Presentation Ceremony.

The Chairman of NPYFN Board of Trustees and former Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Information and Orientation, Mr  Gbolagade Abiodun revealed that some notable Nigerian leaders will be honoured at the 2016 Award Presentation Ceremony scheduled to hold on the 19th of November, 2016, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

Mr Abiodun who is also the convener of the event stated that the Award ceremony is a way to honour great Nigerian leaders who have served the country selflessly and have impacted positively in the lives of the upcoming generation. He added that the selected personalities are worthy of honour because they meet the criteria of the Forum’s motto which is “Helping the masses is our priority.”      

The award ceremony will be graced by the presence of notable personalities among whom are; the Chairman of the occasion, Governor Abdul Aziz Abubakar Yari; Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki; Fomer Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs Florence Ajimobi; Former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido; Former First Lady of Nigeria, Chief Mrs Maryam Abacha; Hajia Aisha Babangida and the Grand Chief Host of the Day is the Governor of Oyo State, Governor Abiola Ajimobi. The Royal Father of the Day is the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar.

The National Progressive Youth Forum of Nigeria hereby invites the general public to celebrate Nigerian leaders at its 2016 Award Presentation Ceremony scheduled to hold at 10am prompt on the 19th of November, 2016, at the the Lekan Salami Stadium,  Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State.
