The Nigerian Bar Association has said that there was no basis for the military style approach in arresting seven judges over allegations of corruption.

The President of the association, Abubakar Mahmoud, said this while addressing newsmen in Abuja.

Mahmoud condemned the manner of approach employed by the Department of State Services in arresting the judges.
Seven judges were arrested last weekend over allegation of corruption.

They were detained and interrogated for about two days before being released.
Mahmoud said the arrest of the judges should have been done within the ambit of the law.
