Oyo State Police Command Arrested two suspect in connection with the death of Senator Arise’ Driver.

The Oyo state police command has arrested two suspect in connection with the death of Nasir Saliu and one Moshood yakubu his cousin.

The state police public relations officer, Bisi Ilobanafor in a telephone  interview with our correspondent said that  Nasir Saliu and his cousin were shot in Ikolaba area of Ibadan.

She said that both of them had earlier priced a tokunbo car in Ibadan in which the two of the dealer went with them to withdraw the 650,000 naira from Guarantee Trust Bank.

On their return from the bank a group of armed robbers attacked them & shot Nasir & his cousin who were immediately rushed to the University Teaching Hospital UCH, before they died later in the evening.

She said that the incident was duly reported to ikolaba police and the state command had swang into action to arrest the two dealers who went to the bank with them as they were the ones that knew that they went to withdraw from the bank.

The police PRO said that the case is under investigation and has been transferred to the area command in Agodi, Ibadan.


You will recall that  Nasir Saliu was the driver of senator Ayo Arise, who is a governorship aspirant of the peoples democratic party in Ekiti state had explained that he had sent Saliu to purchase a tokunbo car in Ibadan when robbers shot him and collected the some of N650, 000.
