Salkida said to have close contacts with Boko Haram leaders, was arrested, Monday, just as he arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, apparently to present himself to the military authorities which had earlier declared him wanted, along with two others, namely Ahmad Bolori and Aisha Wakil. But Falana fumed, yesterday, claiming that the authorities had denied him access to Salkida.

The journalist is believed to be held at a Department State Service, DSS, facility in Abuja. Mr. Falana said he had “been briefed as Mr. Salkida’s counsel,” but that he was “still trying to have access to him.”
