A group, The Democratic Movement, has threatened to drag the Action Congress of

Nigeria (ACN) to court over failure to conduct local government election in the last Two years.

The group's Coordinator Comrade Adesina Akinpelu in a statement in Ibadan on

Thursday, condemned the inability of the state government to conduct election in all the 33 local government areas of the state.

They urged Governor Abiola Ajimobi to conduct council election before the end of this year.

According to the group, if the Governor refused to allow democratically chief

Executives to manage the affairs of the Oyo councils by December this year there will be no alternative than to seek court intervention.

The group lamented that the failure to conduct council election in the last two years has continued to give Ajimobi the opportunity to dip his hand into the coffers of the 33 council areas of the state at will.

It therefore challenged the Governor and the caretaker chairmen imposed on the people of the state to account for about N84billion allocation that the councils have collected in the last two years
