Two people have been arrested for drowning their friend in a bath tub for allegedly stealing a cell-phone in Edo State.

The men have been remanded at the Ebute Magistrate Court for touring and drowning their friend.

According to reports, the two had vowed to drown the deceased but to his plea, they pardoned him.

A neighbour who is now at large has been allegedly the one behind the drowning and wanted the deceased dead.

The accused filled a bath tub full of water and dipped the deceased until he lost all consciousness.

The case has been adjourned until September.
