Former Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli has said Gonzalo Higuain can ensure the club cope with the absence of Paul Pogba should the France international sign for Manchester United.
Last week, Higuain, 28, signed for Juventus from Napoli for €90 million ahead of Pogba’s expected €120m switch to United.
Of Pogba’s potential exit, Tardelli told Gazzetta World: “They would lose a great player but would receive so much money. It’s a deal that can be done.”
Asked about Higuain, Tardelli said the Argentina striker will bring “goals, so many goals” and paired with Paulo Dybala could become another incarnation of former Juve strike partnership David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero
