Fuji T’o Bam: Alaafin Of Oyo Hails Nigerian Breweries Plc

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III has commended the management of Nigerian Breweries Plc over the concept of ‘Fuji T’o Bam’ it developed and has been organizing to promote Yoruba culture through Fuji music.

The Grade A monarch stated this during a courtesy visit paid to him in his Palace on Friday by the organizers of the talent hunt event before it’s quarter final edition held at Durbar Stadium in Oyo commenced.

The royal father commended Goldberg Lager Beer, a brand from Nigerian Breweries Plc for its effort in ensuring that promotion of Yoruba culture through Fuji music remains paramount in its policies.

He lauded the management for standing firm particularly during this period of economic meltdown in the country, adding that the company remains one of the few that has not downsized its staff despite the country’s situation.

He appreciated members of staff for their commitment for sustaining the trend of the company in the past 70 years.

In his address, Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Larger and Stout Brands, Nigeria Breweries, Emmanuel Agu stated that the visit and homage to the Palace of the Alaafin was as a result of recognition and respect accorded the rich Yoruba culture.

He emphasized that the avenue is to discover potential Fuji artists that the brand would be ready to showcase to the world like the stakeholders artists in the Fuji music industry.

Meanwhile, the 20 Goldberg T’o Bam semi finalists have emerged from the quarter final held at Durbar Stadium in Oyo.

They are Alausa Olalekan, Kuyeti Sikiru, Olowokere Ayoola, Sadiq Ishola, Mufutau Alabi, Idris Morakinyo, Alayo Omoowo, Temitope Ajani and Yusuf Atanda.

Others include Abdul Amoo Ajibola, Olaniregun Habeeb, Oluwagbemiga Adeyeye, Bukola Omo-Daddy, Adewale Saheed Ishola, Ilesanmi Sogo, Abiod
