The 16th Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards took place at the Microsoft Theater, United States of America yesterday.

The show was opened by Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar performing their collaborative effort ‘Freedom’. Nicki Minaj won the Best Female Hip Hop Artist for the seventh straight year.

Samuel L. Jackson won a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work as an actor, and Jesse WIlliams for his contributions to Black Lives Matter movement respectively.
