IJAW youths under the auspices of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, an umbrella body of Ijaw youths, would meet in Warri, Delta State, on Thursday over renewed bombings in the Niger Delta.

 Mr. Eric Omare, Spokesman of the group, said on Sunday, said that the meeting was necessitated by the need for the youths to take a stand on the ongoing bombings in the creeks of Delta State and parts of Niger Delta by the Niger-Delta Avengers (NDA).

He also said that leading Niger Delta activists including Mr. Tony Uranta, Ann-Kio Briggs and Dr. Bello Oboko would be guest speakers.

 Omare said the conference with the theme, “The Ideals of Adaka Boro and Renewed Militancy in the Niger Delta Region: The way forward,” would mark the conclusion of the month-long remembrance activities of Major Jasper Adaka Boro, the late Niger Delta hero.
