In a bid to intensify efforts of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led change crusade, the office of the Special Adviser to the President on the Niger Delta and Amnesty Coordinator, Gen Paul Boroh (retd), in collaboration with the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on job creation, Afolabi Imokhuede, is set to launch job creation initiative for Nigerian youths.

This was made known when Imokhuede visited the office of the amnesty coordinator in Abuja.

Gen Boroh explained that in a bid to restore peace in the Niger Delta, the initiative is expected to embrace militant groups who are yet to identify with the amnesty programme.

Gen Boroh further stated that the amnesty programme has recorded good success since the present administration came to power as some of the militants have been established to be entrepreneurs.

The general lauded the efforts of President Buhari for trying to reignite trust in governance through his anti-corruption crusade.

He added that the president has achieved so much in a short time in office, particularly in the area of making ex-militants, entrepreneurs, thereby making them employers of labour in the process.

Also, Mr Imuokhede, while expressing his gratitude to the Coordinator, stated that the office of the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osibajo, is ready to give its support in making job creation and employment for Nigerian youths a reality, he charged Gen Boroh to extend the successes recorded in the Niger Delta to youths in other region of the country.

The two parties are expected to reduce the countless number of youths in the labour market by using trained delegates of the programme as platform for achieving the job creation and employment plan of President Muhammadu buhari.
