JOBLESSNESS HITS OVER SIX MILLION OKADA RIDERS ON BAN

The Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN) has complained bitterly that over six million of its member have been rendered jobless on account of the ban imposed on the operation of commercial motorcycle by some state government in the country.

Alhaji Sanni Moham-med, National President of the association, raised this alarm at  ACOMORAN’s National Executive Council meeting in Lagos.

He lamented saying that this situation is bad considering the state of the Nigerian economy and in the face of devastating unemployment crisis

The National President of this association however maintain the optimistic view that they would not allow the development wreck havoc, alleging that the association has commenced negotiation with First Bank and other financial institution in the country to lend loan to its members to acquire tricycle which will enable keep going in their operation
