
The Bolton White Hotel camp of the Super Eagles has continued to swell with the arrival of the team’s foreign legion.
Led by Asrsenal’s starlet Alex Iwobi who arrived on Sunday night, Turkey-based Umar Aminu and Godfrey Oboabona, English Premier League stars John Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo and Russia-based Aaron Samuel, the team’s members continued to arrive at the team’s Abuja camp and will train together tomorrow morning, before departing the capital for Kaduna, where the first-leg encounter between Nigerian and Egypt will be played.
Later yesterday night, the team’s safe hands, England-based Carl Ikeme, Scotland-based Efe Ambrose, Abdullahi Shehu, Manchester City’s starlet Kelechi Iheanacho, Azubuike Okechukwu, Russia-based Ahmed Musa, Belgium-based Moses Simon, England-based Victor Moses and USA-based Fanendo Adijoined the rest of the team.
South Africa-based Daniel Akpeyi, Stanley Amuzie, PSG’s Elderson Echiejile and Lazio’s Ogenyi Onazi arrived in Lagos yesterday night and are expected to travel to Abuja by first flight on this morning to hok-up with the team before departing for Kaduna.
Germany-based defender Leon Balogun, who has hamstring trouble, is being programmed for the return leg in Alexandria on Tuesday next week.
All arrangements, LEADERSHIP Sports learnt, have been made for the team’s comfortable stay in the state, though they have to train at the National Stadium, Abuja, this morning before heading off to Kaduna.
