Okowa, Others Felicitate With Utomi At 60

Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa accompanied by top government functionaries were among dignitaries that graced the 60th birthday thanksgiving service of Prof. Pat Utomi on Sunday  at St. Monica Catholic Church, Ibusa, Delta State.

The service which coincided with the Christian triumphant entry of Christ to Jerusalem also known as “Palm Sunday “ saw Senator Okowa and dignitaries join the faithful to worship God and celebrate his grace.

The thanksgiving service was meant to thank God for his favour and protection of the life of Prof. Utomi and his family over the years.

Utomi in his address said that the service was meant to give gratitude to God for his accomplishments in the last 60 years.

Stressing that “ the theme of my life is gratitude because everything I have one is not by my power but by the grace of God that has been consistent in my life and the kindness of other people who have helped me accomplish all I have done”

In a sermon, Rev Fr. Sam Igwenwanne said that Palm Sunday represented the triumphant entry of Christ into Jerusalem and symbolised life, hope and victory of the Christian life.

He felicitated with Prof Utomi on his birthday and for giving thanks to God for his grace in his life and his family.
