“Most of the cases before me then were being handled by Ocholi. The dedication and professionalism with which he handled the cases marked him out as a special breed. Whether he won or lost any case, you knew that he had worked hard and presented the facts and expressed opinions as only a professional would. His humility was unequalled. His ascension to the rank of SAN and minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria did not come to me as a surprise,” Ajanah said.
He urged the family members and well wishers to take solace in his legacy, adding that he had gone to be with the Almighty God having lived a pious and honest life.
The representative of the body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), Dr Alex Iziyon (SAN), described Ocholi as ‘an enigma of a gentleman’ who was tenacious in the approach to his professional calling.
Chief Joe Kyari Gadzama (SAN), described Ocholi as an iconic lawyer, astute politician and a devoted Christian who distinguished himself among peers.
