Whether Yaw Siki deserves an apology or not, Sonnie Badu has taken the initiative to apologize to the musician for announcing his earlier intention to assist him financially. This comes after Yaw Siki rejected his offer, quoting scriptures saying;

“I love my brother Sonni Badu so much and I respect him. What he did is an act of righteousness but Matthew 6:1-4 says, ‘…So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honoured by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret…’ So based on this word, I am not able to take the offer”, he said in an interview with KMJ on Daybreak Hitz.

In an interview with Antoine Mensah, host of Lifestyle Café on Live FM, Mr Badu in apologizing has also revealed that;

“My motive was to let him know that we are there for him. It was a touchy subject when he said he depends on money from people when he preaches. My motive was not to embarrass him, if that is how he felt, then I apologize,..”
