The organiser of the Oba of Benin Football Tournament, Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), has said this year’s Oba Erediauwa U-13 boys and U-18 girls competition will take place in Benin between March 19 and 25.

YSFON, in a statement by its National Secretary, Patrick Akpavuerhe, said the players eligible to participate in the championship must not be above the stated age as of March 31. The body said 20 teams were expected to arrive in Benin on Sunday.

According to him, the participating teams are expected to seek clearance from the national secretariat before coming for the championship.

“All the teams are also to make provisions for their feeding, while accommodation will be provided by the Local Organising Committee for both the players and officials,” Akpavuerhe said.
