The Attah Igala II, Dr Ameh Oboni
The Attah Igala II, Dr Ameh Oboni, on Wednesday called on all Igala people to pray and fast for God’s divine intervention, following the recent deaths in the land.
The royal father made the call in a statement signed by the Secretary, Igala Area Traditional Council, Alhaji Adama Sule, and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
Oboni said that the frequent deaths of prominent people in the state recently called for concern.
The Former Governor of Kogi, Prince Abubakar Audu, and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr James Ocholi, died recently.
“The concern for every Igala grew higher than it was before, giving the months that we lost two great sons of the land,’’ the statement said.
It urged the traditional council, the Kogi East Elders’ Council, sons and daughters of the land to do the needful.
According to the statement, prayers are being offered at the Attah Igala’s Palace Hall, the Council Mosque, the Garden of the Lord Prayer House, Ojuwo, Anyigba and God’s Care Mission, Okpo, Olamaboro Local Government Area.
