
Late Olubadan, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1
Honourable Temitope Olatoye, representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency has joined several thousands of people to commensurate with the people of Ibadan on the demise of their paramount ruler, Olubadan, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade, stating that the late monarch has paved way for Ibadan to move forward.
Speaking with CEOAfrica in Abuja, Hon Olatoye said the late Olubadan was a man of integrity who always stand for the truth, respected and cherished by his people, a leader who wanted progress and development for Ibadanland.
The honourable, popularly known as Sugar, described the late monarch as “a strong, peaceful, assertive, gentle, a loving father who genuinely cared for his subjects, a man who has paved the way for Ibadan to move forward to her next level.
"Ibadan has lost a great leader but we are not without comfort because he has set a good example for his predecessor. The entire Ibadan people should emulate his love for Ibadanland,” he said.
Until his death, the Olubadan was aged 101, a strong member of St Peter's Anglican Church, Aremo. He is survived by wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
