A Nigerian footballer Eweje Oladele Micheal who plays for Remo Stars and formerly of Shooting Stars of Ibadan has lost his life after surgery.

News of his death was shared on social media by his former and present teammates.

According to Arowolo Jubril Bimbola, the media officer of Shooting Stars,  the Remo Stars striker died after a nearly successful appendix operation.

Eweje was a player of Shooting Stars in the early part of last season before moving to Remo Stars in the mid-season.
