OYSAA to prosecute mobile advert violators

The Oyo state signage & advertisement agency has vowed to prosecute any violator who default the law that established the new Mobile Advertisement policy in the state.

 

The Director General of the Agency Yinka Adepoju in an interview at the Launch of the Mobile Advertisement policy at the mediation center in Agodi secretariat, Ibadan, said that anyone who fails to comply will be fined at the state mobile court and failure to pay such by defaulter will be sent to jail.

 

He said all mobile advert owners are expected to buy the stickers and certificate from the designated consultants in their local government area or face the law.

 

He explained that mobile advertisement owners such as churches, mosques, schools Associations and unions are expected to comply else their vehicles will be impounded by the state government.

 

The Director General said that the cost of sticker and certificate is 3,000 naira per year,government has done it best to ensure that the fee is affordable for the people of the state.

 

The Director general however caution those who are found of producing their own sticker to desist from such else they will be handed over to economic and financial crimes commission while appealing to the people of the state to corporate with the consultants in the state.
