The Nigerian Reggae Icon, Majek Fashek today December 8 made a shocking revelation on his rehabilitation program at a drug centre in Abuja.

The formerly ’embattled’ star said that he was never taken to any rehabilitation centre as was speculated but rather went into seclusion.

In his words, “It was wrong to say I was taken to a rehab. I only went into seclusion for spiritual rebirth,” Majek revealed this as a celebrity guest on Your View, a breakfast Talk Show on TVC News Nigeria.

Recall that Majek Fashek had been under medical supervision for several months over issues relating to drug and alcohol abuse which propelled him being held in Synapse Services Centre, an Abuja rehabilitation clinic.

In October, he was released from rehab and had his first stage performance at the annual Felabration festival in Lagos.

While responding to what to expect from him musically, Majek said he’s working on music projects that would challenge the dominant contemporary hip-hop music of today.
