NFF president Amaju Pinnick
A report by The Sun has revealed that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) dissolved three committees set up last year because they were “inactive and ineffective”.
The three committees were match commissioners appointment Committee, technical and development committee and the referees committee.
Implicated for the failures of these committees are the likes of Enyimba International chairman Felix Anyasi.
A board member who spoke to The Sun said the NFF decided it was best the committees were not reorganized but “we decided to just drop all of them in order not to attract too much negative criticism to the leadership of the affected committees”.
The committee which has been seen as most dispensable is the referees committees which has received bad reviews due to its lopsided appointment of match officials.
A aide to the NFF president Amaju Pinnick however calmed fear saying dissolving a board is a regular “….occurrence that happens at the end of every season. It is so in CAF and FIFA….”.
