The head of protocol of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Abubakar, was shot dead at his house in Abuja in the early hours of Wednesday, africanFootball.com reports.

The federation said the deceased will be buried in Kaduna later on Wednesday.

Abubakar, according to the report, celebrated his birthday recently.
