
The Oblates of Saint Joseph (OSJ) Nigeria delegation has celebrated its 25th year anniversary, earlier in November, 2015.
Prior to this time, several activities have been taking place, including retreats, prayers, homilies, harvests, opening of ultra modern edifice at Isolo. It came to a climax on Saturday, with the ordination of Priests and Deacons.
The ordination which took place at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Isolo, was conducted by Most Rev. Albert Ayinde Fasina Bishop of Ijebu-Ode Diocese.
The Bishop represented the former Archbishop of Lagos, Cardinal A. O. Okogie. The Emeritus Bishop in his address to the OSJ, congratulated the congregation and wish them many more successful endeavours as they journey on in their quest to alienate the downtrodden from the shackles of poverty, and bring them closer to their creator.
In his message to the ordained, he equally congratulated and prayed Gods’ guidance and wisdom to enable them function in their respective positions to the positive growth of the Congregation and the society at large.
A reception was held in honour of well wishers at the 'HOUSE OF MARY' popularly called ‘DOMUS MARIAE’. Among those that were ordained as Priests are Rev Fr John Alabi (OSJ), Rev Fr Cosmas Udoekpo (OSJ), Rev Fr Philemon Oboh (OSJ).
Other ordained deaconates include Rev Anthony Agbessime, Rev Donatus Essien, Rev Benjamin Ogar, Rev Emmanuel Udoh, Rev Clement Lukpata and Rev Robert Wayas.
