The Executive Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation,FACAFOOT has appointed cameroonian born Belinga Alexandre as Coach of the Cameroon National Football team.
The President at FECAFOOT,Tombi a Roko Sidiki and his excutives dismissed the German,Volker Finke as coach of the Indomitable Lions.
According to resolutions from the Friday 29th October FECAFOOT executive meeting, the former coach that was serving another term of prolongation will no more have anything to do with the Indomitable Lions.
Another football expert, Djonkep Bonaventure takes up command as the assistant coach of the Cameroon national football team.
Worthy of the note is the fact that, the new coach who was an an assistant to Volker Finke since 2014 and has served as head coach with many local teams in the country.
He coached Renaissance of Ngoumou, Fovu club of Baham, Unisport of Upper Nkam and Astres of Douala amongst others.
The new indomitable coach was trained in Clairefontaine,France as a one of the beneficiaries of the Confederation of African Football,CAF,scholarships.
Belinga Alexandre after the appointment expressed apprecition to the FECAFOOT executive committee for the confidence, promising to revive the national team an idea he says will repeat history in football in a country that is barely leaving in its football past glories.
The Head Coach noted that his appointed comes at a time Cameroon will be hosting the female and the male african football tournaments in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
In this light, he said he will be determined to ensure that cameroon wins the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a qualifier match early this November so to be able to participate during the 2017 AFCON.
The appointment of cameroonian to head a most cherished sports descipline in the country comes barely a week after the nomination of a former indomitable Lion,Regobert Song to head the Chadian National Football team.
