Defence Force will face rivals and league champions, Saint Georges in the Ethiopian Super Cup on Sunday, 4 October 2015 in Addis Ababa.

The army side emerged as winners of the 2014/2015 Ethiopian Federation Cup after beating Hawassa Kenema 2-0 in the final on Saturday, 26 September 2015 in Addis Ababa.

'Mekelakeya' as the army team is nicknamed broke the deadlock midway into the first half through Minyelu Wendimu before Firew Solomon sealed victory with the second later.

It is the first time in two years that Defence has annexed the title as far as the Ethiopian version of the FA Cup is concerned, taking their tally to 13 overall, and confirming their status as the most successful club in the history of the annual competition.

Defence will thus represent Ethiopia in next year's CAF Confederation Cup.
