A blogger identified as Emmanuel Ojo, is currently in its custody, the Ogun State Police Command says.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi said the Command received a complaint from the state government about the blogger which led to his arrest

The suspect was said to have been trailed and arrested by security men on Saturday and detained at Ibara Police Station, Abeokuta.

Ojo was being detained at the Command’s headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, after being trailed  for for a story that exposed the alleged quizzing the wife of the Ogun State governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, in London, for money laundering.

In the story, Mrs. Amosun was alleged to have been detained by the London Police for being in possession of US300,000.

She has since denied being involved in any money laundering saga.

Adejobi said investigations were still being conducted on the matter.

He said, “We received a complaint from the state government on the suspect, and he was arrested. Presently, he is with us at Eleweran. We are still conducting our investigations. If he is found wanting, he will be charged to court accordingly.”
