As Muslim faithful celebrate this year's Eid-el Kabir, the Bauchi State governor, Mohammed Abubakar, has enjoined citizens of the state to always live in peace with one another irrespective of religious and ethnic differences.

Governor Abubakar stated this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communication, Yakubu Mohammed, stressing the need for a committed relationship with the Almighty Allah.

"Joyous as this occasion is, it also gives us the opportunity to do some soul searching with a view to improving the relationships between us and the Almighty Allah on one hand and that between us and our fellow humans on the other.

"This in addition to the symbolism of sacrifice is part of the essence of Eid-Kabir. For us in Bauchi State, the essence is significant, coming at a time when all hands are required to be on deck as we strive to rebuild from the ashes of a disastrous period of governance. In this our noble quest, the spirit of sacrifice and unaltered commitment to the general good are vital," he said.

He reiterated the commitment of the APC led-administration to develop the state.

The Governor urged the people of the state to be security conscious during the celebration and report any suspicious character to security agencies.
