Osun State Government has debunked the rumoured death of the Deputy Governor, Mrs.  Titi Laoye-Tomori. The rumour of her death spread round the state on Wednesday morning.

While speaking on the issue, one of her aides, Mr. Gboyega Labiran, told our correspondent on the telephone that the deputy governor was alive. He said the deputy governor had not gone on annual leave since the administration came into office in the state.

The statement issued to debunk the rumour read, “Contrary to rumours making the rounds about the state of health of Osun Deputy Governor, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, it has been officially confirmed that the immediate past Commissioner for Education in the State is as fit as a fiddle and presently enjoying a very sound health.

“She officially secured an approval to proceed on annual leave for the very first time since the inception of the Ogbeni Aregbesola political administration.”

Labiran however thanked the people in the state who, he said, showed concern about the state of health of the deputy governor and advised rumour peddlers to desist from promoting rumours.
