The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has received with joy, the cheery news of the release of Ms Dornu Kogbara by her abductors, 12 days after she was forcefully taken away by gun men from her family home in Port Harcourt.

The APC in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Chris Finebone and made available to NF-Reports thanked the Almighty God for Kogbara's safe return to her loved ones.

The party also thanked the APC leader, the former governor of Rivers State, Hon Rotimi Amaechi, for his role in the release of Kogbara as well as officers of the Department of State Services [DSS] and Kogbara's journalist colleague, Mr. Uche Igwe for all their immeasurable contributions that resulted in her safe release of last night.

The APC called on various security agencies in Rivers State to always be alive to their responsibilities by ensuring the safety of lives and property of the people and residents of Rivers State.
