
The 2015 DEMO Africa event, which would attract over 500 guests including investors, IT buyers, consumers and media, is set to showcase 30 new technological products to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) market.
The DEMO Africa event offers development platform for African innovators, where start-ups display their solutions and engage investors.
The event is also partnered by Microsoft under its 4Afrika Initiative, making it the fourth time the software giant will be supporting the Pan African event.
Director,Startup Engagement and Partnerships 4 Africa Initiatives, Microsoft, Amrote Abdella, said that Microsoft partnership with DEMO Africa is to further enhance Africa innovative ecosystem.
“By supporting the growth of startups, we are laying the foundation for the creation of globally competitiveness businesses. It opens up the opportunity to partner with various stakeholders across sectors, and at Microsoft we believe in joining forces to create a bigger and more sustainable impact,” he said.
Harry Hare, Executive Producer of DEMO Africa, commended Microsoft’s support, noting that such similar efforts from other stakeholders would see technology entrepreneurship effectively bring sustainability to entrepreneurship across Africa.
This year, DEMO Africa would be addressing critical topics like Business Modelling, Scaling Businesses, Creating an Unfair Advantage, and Raising Capital. Top industry players, including Jorn Lyseggen, MEST Founder, Harry Tomi Davies, ABAN President, Flab Esan, partner, Adlevo Capital, and Jason Njoku, IROKO TV CEO and others will be leading the discussions.
