Angola: National Conference On Science And Technology Commences

The minister of Science and Technology, Cândida Teixeira, last Wednesday, in Luanda's Talatona Conventions Centre, led the opening ceremony of the Fourth National Conference on Science and Technology starts, which is set to close on Friday, September 11.

The event represents an opportunity for Angolan and foreign specialists to present the results of their works research works and propitiate a discussion about the challenges of scientific research in Angola.

This conference is also to assess the successful experiences of other countries.

The event is taking place simultaneously with the Seventh Fair of Inventors and Creators of Angola (FEICA 2015), as well as other related events, such as the International Fair of Ideas, Inventions and Products Valorisation, and the Science and Technology Fair which was inaugurated by the minister of Family Issues and Promotion of Women, Filomena Delgado.

ANGOP has learnt that the Science and Technology Fair is to end on 13 September.

ANGOP has learnt that about 300 people are expected to attend the event, some of whom are government officials, national and foreign specialists, representatives of the United Nations and European Union, teachers, students and potential investors.
