The Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Adeyemo on Monday threatened to resign from his office, if pressure from his colleagues continues.

It was reliably gathered that the House has decided not to attend to any executive demands including clearing of commissioners and caretaker chairmen if the governor refuse to give them some allowances.

At the moment, the governor of the State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has not release any amount of money for the lawmakers since about two months of the House inauguration.

The Speaker who revealed his dissatisfaction about the development during the House caucus meeting said he was not happy with the condition of the State. "I can sacrifice my speakership office if this pressure continues," he noted.

The source said one of the House members from Ido local government usually comes to the chamber with motorcycle popularly called 'Okada' while others are begging people to support them financially.

The source further said one of the Honourables went to get hire purchase of a tokubo vehicle but the dealer revoke the vehicle when the lawmaker was unable to pay the first payment.

Meanwhile, the minority leader in the House, Hon. Olagunju Ojo representing Orire State constituency briefed the press on Monday morning shortly after the caucus meeting complaining about the ill-treatment of the lawmakers by the state government especially about accommodation.

He said the minority in the House are not happy with the way the State government is treating them.

In another development, a petition was sent to the State house of assembly by some former special advisers and commissioners in the last dispensation seeking for the governor of the state Abiola Ajimobi to be investigated.

The petition which was available to our correspondent indicate that the governor had received N585 billion in the past four years of his administration.

According to the petition, the money received by this administration right from its inception in the year 2011 cannot be compared to that of any past governors in the State starting from the Alh Lam Adesina to that of Senator Rashidi Ladoja and Otunba Alao Akala.

"We implore you honourable members to investigate both at the state and local government level and ensure justice for the people of Oyo State

Since our governor has claimed not to be interested again in any political office after this term, he shouldn't be allow to wreck more havoc on our beloved State."
