Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu will remain in a Cape Town hospital until at least the weekend.  CEOAFRICA gathered that he was re-admitted after an infection that landed him in hospital a week ago re-surfaced.

His daughter, Mpho Tutu says the 83-year-old cleric's hospitalisation is unrelated to his prostate cancer treatment.

Tutu was released from hospital a week ago after being treated for a persistent infection for several days.

During his last hospital stay, Tutu was put on a course of antibiotics.

His family says the much loved cleric will have to cut down on his public appearances.

Tutu and his wife, Leah, renewed their wedding vows at the beginning of the month.

The couple have been married for 60 years.
