The peaceful and quiet city of Fugar in Estako central in Edo state was yesterday thrown into utter confusion as a police officer mistakely shot a woman dead 

The ulgy incident occurred durring burial ceremony of Chief Etu, a retired teacher, who hails Iyhiokhile quarters of Fugar city.

Mr Samson told our reporter that the police officer was among the security that accompained the king of Ogbonna community to the burial ceremony.

Another woman who only want to be identified as mama mabel told ceoafrica reporter in a phone conversation that the bullet that killed the woman was accidental discharged from officer.

Stating further that the woman came from Warri to attend the burial. That her family members has been contacted.

Angry youths decended heavily on the police officers and he was almost beaten to the point of death before help came his way.
