The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has accused Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, of lying about his invitation to appear before its disciplinary committee.

Enyeama was absent as the committee sat on Tuesday in Abuja, with only coach Stephen Keshi showing up.

The Lille goal tender, however, told the BBC that he was oblivious of any invitation to appear before any committee. He confirmed to be privy to the query earlier sent to him by the NFF.

NFF spokesperson Ademola Olajire has now come out to counter those claims.

”I can assure you that Enyeama was sent an invitation by the NFF,” he told AfricanFootball.

“The invitation to appear before the committee was sent to him through the channel that we normally send him invitations to the Super Eagles.

“The disciplinary committee is a judicial body, so whether Eneyama appears or not they will make their decision.”
