The All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and President Muhammadu Buhari have resolved that the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki and other APC senators in the National Assembly should henceforth show loyalty and reverence for the policies of the party whose goodwill gave them their respective mandates.
The decision of the governors is meant to bring an end to the bickering that ensued as a result of the controversies that trailed the emergence of Bukola Saraki as the Senate President. The decision was taken at a late-night meeting held in the Presidential Villa on Tuesday.
The Chairman of the APC Governorship Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, maintained that it was imperative for all members to respect the views of the party.
In the same vein, Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo State said that all APC members currently holding political positions should realise that they got the mantles of leadership through the APC platform. Thus, he emphasised, the need for individuals to respect the stance of the party at all times.
