The National Association of Catholic Lawyers, Abuja chapter began its week on Monday with holy mass at Holy Trinity, Maitama, Abuja.
The law week is a yearly programme that falls, usually, between June 17 and 28, and the main purpose of the celebration is to honour Saint Thomas Moore.
Philip Okwaraocha, a barrister, told CEOAfrica that the Catholic honours saints; more so for St Thomas who was a noble saint and a lawyer who died for justice.
The week has many Abuja Catholic legal practitioners in attendance and they were told to put God first in every thing they do. They should also strive to render selfless service to humanity just like St Thomas did.
The law week continues Wednesday with a visit to Suleja Prison at 10am.
