
Anglican Diocese begins synod

Anglican Diocese on the Niger third session, the 29th of the synod, started at St Paul Parish, Ogidi, Anambra State, yesterday.
Rt Revd Jolly Oyekpen is the guest speaker, while Rt Rev Owen Nwokolo is chief host.
Revd Owen, in the opening sermon, preached on maturity, saying maturity is compulsory; call for forward movement irrespective of obvious challenges and difficulties. He took the Bible reading from Hebrews 6:1.
The bishop asked the congregation, “How do they cover each other’s nakedness?
He further emphasised that Christains should strive to grow in faith and concluded, "Maturity is not a function of one’s biological age.”
