The Inspector-General of Police Solomon Arase has set up a high-powered committee to screen all junior police officers.
These officers must have obtained higher educational qualifications and they are to be appointed into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and the inspectorate cadre.
In a special press release made available to CEOAFRICA by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Emmanuel C.S. Ojukwu, states that the State Command interviews are slated for 1- 6 July, while zonal screening starts 16 July and ends 22 July. The exercise is part of the welfare package aimed at boosting the morale of the Police Force.
The police boss said the result of the interview must reach Force Headquarters on or before 28 July, emphasising that the exercise would be free, fair and transparent.
