A senior staff member of Total filling station, Mr Aguda Olufemi, has advised the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to give preference to major marketers who sell at the normal pump price of N87.
The preference, during loading, will afford the major marketers the opportunity to make fuel available to motorists without inconveniencing them, according to Mr Femi.
He was not too comfortable with the independent marketers who sell the product at any price they deem fit as this will rub off negatively on the economy.
Regarding the ongoing fuel scarcity in some parts of the country, he said normalcy should not be expected “until the refinery in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is fully operational.”
