An improvised explosive device has exploded killing at least three soldiers, one mobile policeman and three others near Alagarino village, Borno State.

Sources say the Boko Haram’s device was planted on Damboa-Biu road where the military accompanied Power Holding Company of Nigeria staff to repair damaged electricity lines.

It was gathered that the wife of the late Mopol suffered from shock upon hearing the news of her husband’s death, and she could not believe the sad story she heard from her late husband’s colleagues when she arrived at the post of his primary assignment.

A security source informed CEOAfrica reporter that “it was a horrible accident which damaged the vehicle beyond repairs.”

Meanwhile, the US has been providing some training and support for Nigeria to fight the insurgents and will love to work with the new administration to end the Boko Haram insurgency.

“Three soldiers, however, survived the blast, though they were seriously injured,” the source said.
