The competition started in 2013 with the cup donated by the iyaoloja herself , Chief (Mrs) Labake Lawal and has since then being a continuous competition among the respective markets in Ibadan.

According to one of the executives of the association, the third position went to Dugbe market football team, while Bola Ige market football team made the second place. Laboowo team won the cup and the cash price of N250,000.
