Globacom, a national telecommunications carrier in Nigeria, has put smiles on the faces of people who find themselves in or around select airports in the country.

They can now connect wirelessly to the internet through their smart phones, laptops, tablets, and other smart devices.

The national carrier worked together with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to delight the public.

Present at the commissioning of the facility were senior government officials led by Osita Chidoka.

Ike Oraekwuotu, Globacom’s coordinator, business solutions, said the facility would be available at both the domestic and the international wings of key airports across the country.

“Globacom is delighted to bring Nigeria up to speed with one of the best trends in the aviation industry worldwide by introducing ultra-high speed Wi-Fi data experience for travellers and other users of our airports, beginning with Nigeria’s flagship airport, the MMIA,” Oraekwuotu said.

All passengers using the airports will be able to connect to the facility.
