Former Senate Majority leader and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate at the just concluded April 11 election in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin has described the emergence of Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, respectively at the election as triumph for democracy in Nigeria .
Former Senate Majority Leader who also congratulated the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and Deputy Speaker, Yusuf Sulaimon Lasun, said: “With what happened at the National Assembly today, it is a clear indication that Nigeria democracy is on the right path.”
Senator Folarin while speaking with CEOAFRICA said, “the emergence of Hon. Yakubu Dogara as the House of Representatives Speaker is an indication that our democracy is growing by the day.
“Today, Nigerians demonstrated to the entire world that our country has come of age democratically. I therefor use this opportunity to call on Nigerians to support the 8th national assembly for the growth of our dear nation.”
