Music icon, Chief Ebenezer Obey, has joined other eminent Nigerians to congratulate the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, governors-elect of Ogun, Oyo and Lagos, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Abiola Ajimobi and Akinwunmi Ambode respectively and other newly elected leaders on their victories at the polls.

Obey, who spoke with Nigerian Tribune on Thursday, stated that he was delighted with the development the nation had witnessed recently, just as he urged Nigerians to support the emerging leaders, so as to foster the growth of the nation and democracy.

He further prayed that God will grant them the wisdom, knowledge and strength in piloting the affairs of the nation and their states.

The “Commander” also stressed the need for Nigerians to fully support all the newly elected leaders, as the country looks forward to dividends of democracy.

“Power and all essential things that we have not achieved for several years now must be part of their priority and concentration. I pray that the good Lord see them through,” he added.
