THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, has admonished Christians in the state to follow the example of Jesus Christ, who, he said, lived to change the world for the good of mankind.
He gave the admonition in his Easter message to Christians across the state. Folarin described Jesus Christ as a peaceful character, whose good works are evident in the entire world.
“His peaceful life and his other unique virtues easily endear him to people of goodwill. It is not by accident that this season of Christ’s death and resurrection coincides with the moment of change in our land; it is very necessary to fulfill the divine mandate of God to experience the desired change in the state,” he said.
He, therefore, used the opportunity to charge Christians to see him as the agent of the change desired in the state which, he said, would come to pass in the April 11, 2015 elections.
He described himself as an agile young man who is fit to run the business of governance effectively and a reliable link between the young and the older generations. He added that he is in a vintage position to feel the pulse of the people and deliver the dividends of democracy across board.
